Client, Janet Peters from Hagley gives a glowing testimonial
“Excellent service, professional treatment with ongoing results. I am very happy to have been recommended to Mac Physio & Pilates. I feel this will be somebody to help with any further problems I or my family have and wish them our very best for their future plans.”
The family-run, private Physiotherapy clinic was established in 2014 by husband and wife team, Martin and Annika Cunningham. Both have been qualified as Physiotherapists for over 13 years and are registered with the HCPC. Martin has worked for both Scottish Rugby and Australian Football; whereas, Annika has done extensive Pilates training with the APPI in both mat and equipment.
Thanks to their growing reputation over the past 5 years, they have now been joined by another three Physiotherapists and their fabulous admin support. This great mix of expertise brings a wealth of experience from both NHS and private settings as well as Professional sport.
Mac Physio & Pilates prides themselves on being able to offer quick access to appointments and are registered with all the major private health companies.
They offer a range of rehabilitation options including Clinical Pilates classes ran from their on-site boutique studio: these are small groups, physio-led and modified to your needs; as well as access to gym facilities and world-class strength and conditioning equipment at Black Country Barbell. From here the team is able to provide performance related physio – ideal for people looking to return to manual work or competitive sports.
The team at Mac Physio & Pilates treat a wide range of conditions from post-op surgery, to shoulder and ankle problems and running injuries – but by far the most common complaint we see is lower back pain. Not surprising that on average 70% of us will experience lower back pain at some point during our lives, and at this time of year as we are entering in to the gardening season, this can be a trigger with people spending more time in forward bent positions for long periods. The cause can be varied from muscular tightness, disc pathology or joint stiffness.
The only way to figure this out is a face to face assessment where the Physios will ask detailed questions and perform several tests, this guides them to provide the most effective treatment for you and get you back to what you love doing!
